Most Common Mistakes



In my family there is my mother, my father, my sister and me. Subject-Verb Agreement (there is or there are)
In my family there are my mother, my father, my sister and me. OK
There are four people in my family: my mother, my father, my sister and myself. BETTER

My family is very big, had nine peoples. Plural/Singular error OR Count and Noncount nouns. People not peoples.  Had would be better as has. Wrong Word Choice.
My family is very big. We are nine people.

She bore two lovely daughters. Best: She has two lovely daughters.

My father named Joseph. My father is named Joseph. Missing Verb error. Check all your sentences to make sure they have a VERB.

My parents work at father’s own restaurant. My parents work at my father’s restaurant.

Her dream is own fashion shop by herself. Her dream is to have her own fashion shop. To+infinitive

My mother made breakfast every day and she said “I can’t give you any money or a gift but I will take care your healthy.” … of your health OR: I can make you healthy food.

My second brother he’s name Mohammed, he is 28 years old he’s married in 2008, and he has two children one boy and girl their names are Omar and Saga,  so I am -- aunt to two beautiful children.

He is retired next year. He will retire next year.  Check your VERB TENSE.
